WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This position is part of a portfolio that develops digital products within the digital marketing and sales area, specifically focused on the online sales of Porsche vehicles.

You will join our vibrant, international, and fully dedicated product team, whose mission is to make the global Porsche website an outstanding digital luxury experience for our customers. Together, we aim to provide a seamless and enjoyable digital journey, guiding users to the right model, product, or service.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Technical Product Owner with a strong background in cloud services to bridge the gap between development, operations, and product strategy.

This role is ideal for someone who has either:

  • transitioned from a hands-on development or technical lead role into product ownership, or
  • built deep technical expertise through years of working closely with software engineering teams in complex, cloud-based environments.

You don’t need to write code—but you should be comfortable participating in architectural discussions, understanding technical trade-offs, and collaborating with engineers on topics like infrastructure, CI/CD, cloud architecture, and system reliability.

You’ll ensure technical initiatives align with business goals and help guide teams toward scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Support engineering teams in developing, deploying, and maintaining applications and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product, operations, and security teams to streamline processes, improve system reliability, and scale platforms.
  • Act as a translator between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on goals and priorities.
  • Contribute to technical discussions around CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud solutions—not by coding, but by guiding, questioning, and aligning.
  • Own the WWW domain of the global Porsche website, empowering teams to deliver applications quickly, securely, and independently.
  • Support the design and evolution of Porsche.com’s cloud infrastructure to ensure durability, performance, and quality.
  • Advocate for DevOps principles, including automation, reusability, and continuous delivery to both test and production environments.
  • Oversee backend services, APIs, and third-party system integration.
  • Champion ‘Porsche-like’ quality and security by driving modern testing and quality practices.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and shared knowledge through documentation and active team engagement. 

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

  • Experience in Software and Infrastructure Engineering.

  • Experience as Product Owner and strong understanding of Agile principles.

  • A master's degree in computer science or a related field.

  • Experience as Product Owner in teams that are developing resilient, cloud-first applications on AWS, with expertise in AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, CloudFront, and S3, as well as Infrastructure as Code.

  • Strong knowledge of software security best practices, including threat assessment and secure programming methodologies.

  • You have a keen interest in automated testing and TDD.

  • Experience with API management systems, API Design and RESTful services.

  • Expertise with CI/CD.

  • Familiarity with the three pillars of observability: metrics, logs, and traces (e.g., using tools like New Relic and Splunk).

  • Experience with the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • You are a team player, being part of an agile team, actively taking care of team culture and the product value for our customers.

  • You are a great communicator with tech and non-tech people.

  • Our company language is English, so you should speak it fluently.
