Senior Software Engineer – Realtime Engine (f/m/d)

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer for our team which ensures the highest quality of real-time 3D visualization for Porsche’s digital services. You will be part of a cross-functional product team and will be based in Ludwigsburg, Germany. In your role, you will contribute to the product success by optimizing engine performance, implementing new rendering techniques, and ensuring the fidelity of 3D assets.

WHAT YOUR TASKS ARE

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of our agile team, ensuring the efficiency and quality of Porsche’s 3D visualization infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Enable high-quality rendering solutions for image on-demand and streaming.
  • Optimize and analyze the performance of the Porsche game engine and assets.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for 3D asset creation and management.
  • Research and implement new techniques and technologies to keep the rendering service ahead in visual fidelity.

WHAT YOU BRING ALONG

  • Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or Game Design.
  • At least 7 years professional experience in C++/C# native programming within 3D game development with Unreal Engine and Unity.
  • Experience with VR/AR technologies.
  • Knowledge of graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX, Vulcan).
  • Proven hands-on experience in real-time 3D visualization and graphics programming.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unreal Engine and related 3D development tools.
  • Experience in cloud-native services and microservice architecture.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving engine optimization.
  • Self-driven and motivated to get things done.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in English.
