PURPOSE
The Car Sales Solution Architect is responsible for defining and communicating a shared technical and architectural vision for an Agile Release Train (ART), which is responsible for the development of the car sales journey of the future for Porsche. The solution architect plays a decisive role in aligning the teams of the Agile Release Train to a shared technical direction and helps to ensure the overall system is technically fit for its intended purpose.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Define and promote a shared technical and architectural vision together with the product teams of the ART and derive Nonfunctional Requirements (NFRs) for the implementation
- Actively collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, to ensure the ART is aligned with the technological landscape of the enterprise and the solution
- Establish a long-term product strategy and propose adequate organizational and project synergies
- Work closely with product management, solution management, customers, and suppliers to ensure fit for the purpose of the overarching architecture
- Align and adapt the architectural vision to the overarching solution context
- Analyze technical trade-offs, determine primary components and subsystems
- Identify interfaces and synergies, to foster collaboration between teams of the ART
- Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives
- Enable teams to ensure their systems are compliant with data protection regulations and security standards
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
- you have already several years of extensive experience in the relevant work environment
- Well-founded knowledge of Cloud-native applications and application development with JavaScript, Spring Boot, and AWS in an enterprise environment
- Expertise with all major programming language families (object-oriented, functional, scripting)
- Experience working in diverse, international teams
- Broad knowledge of computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms, as well as software and cloud software design patterns
- Experience working in large teams using professional software development practices, such as writing clean code, participating in code review, using source code management, and using build and deployment pipelines
- Optionally, you are familiar with EDA and event streaming, and you have hands-on experience with at least one of the event streaming platforms like Apache Kafka / Confluent Platform, Apache Pulsar, or Kinesis/AWS.
- Fluent in English and German
- Preferably knowledge in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Mentoring and training of other team members on design techniques and coding standards
- Good organizational skills like being able to plan and manage tasks and projects effectively, set priorities and use resources effectively
